YOU'RE ON IN 3,2,1...
Over my years on THS TV, I have mainly been an anchor. Whether it's news, sports, entertainment, or weather, you normally see me on camera. When it came to deciding my job focus on staff, I knew anchoring was for me, even though my first year I wasn't chosen to be an anchor. I realized at the time I was an underdog, however with my determination, passion, and my personality, I knew that I would persevere. Now as a lead anchor, I enjoy delivering information about what's happening at Thompson, in my community, and national topics that impact my generation. I really love being on camera and having the opportunity to share my love for journalism with people. Throughout my time of growing up, I've always felt like my voice didn't matter, that I was never good enough, and that people didn't see or notice me. Anchoring helped me find my voice and gave me the platform to show people who I am. It has allowed me tp share my passion and commitment to being journalist through my work not only on camera but off camera. Whether it's about story duration or delivery, I Iove the freedom and opportunity of continuing to learn something everyday. From helping produce material that I would deliver live to exploring stories that would make the best content, anchoring has broaden my understanding of journalism and the way to tell a story that would impact people.
